Every little girl dreams of that perfect Christmas where she comes down the stairs and rushes over to her stocking and inside Santa has left a bridle and reins for her new pony that somehow fits in the back yard. Well, this year for Christmas, my husband did even better. He got me scuba gear and scuba diving lessons!!!! This is definitely the best present ever…EVER! I couldn’t believe my eyes when caribbean diving I opened the package. We had talked about taking up the sport quite a few times, but finances had never quite allowed for us to really get started. Little did I know, my husband has secretly been stocking up here and there on the gear I would need.
caribbean diving I figured I would have to wait until the summer to take the lessons, but to my surprise, I was signed up for them in January.
The first class I came prepared for everything. I brought all my equipment in my bag and was immediately informed that we would not need our gear for class that day. Mostly it was filling out paperwork and stressing safety issues. We watched a nice safety video and we were given a book and dive log and caribbean diving homework. After watching the video’s the reality and the excitement really started to set in….I am going to scuba dive….just like Jacques Cousteau! I remember sitting around the TV as a child on Sundays watching “The Undersea World of Jacques Cousteau”. This wonderful caribbean diving man with the French accent brought the serene, aw inspiring beauty of the undersea world right to our living room. Soon I will get to go out and see this beautiful amazing world first hand. (Definitely better than a pony)
